How we work

From your first message to the final report

Every project follows a clear scope, documented decisions and timely reporting — so you always know what happens next. You can stop at any stage before the agreement is signed without owing anything.

Six clear stages

  1. 01

    You send a brief message

One paragraph is enough: what your company does, what you need in Brazil, and roughly when. You do not need to prepare a formal brief — the purpose of this first exchange is to establish whether a conversation is worth both our time.

  2. 02

    A short introductory call

A video call, normally 30 minutes. You see who you would be working with; I ask what I need in order to price the work honestly. If it is not a fit, I say so on that call rather than sending a proposal anyway.

  3. 03

    Written scope and firm price

You receive a written scope: what will be done, what will not be done, over what period, what you receive at the end, and the exact price. This is the document that governs the work — not the marketing pages of this site.

  4. 04

A signed agreement before anything starts

A written agreement, signed by both sides, covering scope, price, payment terms, expenses, confidentiality and how either side may end it. Nothing begins on a verbal understanding, and nothing is invoiced that is not in it.

  5. 05

    Execution, with visible progress

You are told what is happening while it is happening — a short daily debrief during events, an agreed contact rhythm during longer engagements. No silence between kickoff and delivery.

  6. 06

    Written report at the end

What was done, what resulted, what was learned, and a recommended next step — including the recommendation to stop, if that is the honest one.

The terms, stated before you ask

Contract

Every engagement is governed by a written agreement. Verbal scope changes are not executed; a change is agreed in writing and priced before it happens.

Confidentiality

Your product information, pricing, customer names and strategy are confidential by default. I sign your NDA if you have one, and provide a straightforward mutual NDA if you do not.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars, agreed in writing before the work starts. Payment terms and the schedule are part of the agreement, not decided afterward.

Expenses

Travel, accommodation and approved event costs are prepaid or paid directly by the client, with supporting records provided as agreed.

Conflicts of interest

I will tell you if I am already working with a direct competitor in your category, before we agree anything. Exclusivity in a category is possible, but only when it is written into the agreement and priced.

If something goes wrong

If I cannot deliver what was agreed — illness, a scheduling conflict, anything else — you are told immediately, and you do not pay for what was not delivered. I would rather lose an engagement than have you find out on the day of the event.

Direct senior support, with transparent capacity

Every engagement is led and delivered directly by Paulo. That provides continuity and fast decisions while keeping scheduling limits clear from the start.

Direct access and continuity

  • You speak to the person who does the work and who decides. There is no account manager relaying your requirements to someone else.
  • The person in the meeting is the person who was briefed. Nothing is lost between the briefing and the room.
  • Decisions on scope, price and timing are made in the conversation, not escalated internally.

Capacity and planning

  • Availability is confirmed in writing before dates are reserved. Overlapping trade shows cannot both be accepted.
  • Long engagements include an agreed communication rhythm and continuity plan.
  • If your needs require a permanent local team or subsidiary, that recommendation will be stated clearly.

Languages of work

Portuguese is native. English is fluent and is the working language with Asian clients. Spanish is intermediate. Mandarin interpretation is not offered, and this is confirmed before every engagement.
